Art Dreams Forever |
April 05 1990 Junior | Illustration Pennsylvania College of Art and Design I chose illustration because it's my dream to publish picture books. They inspired me so much as a child that I wanted to do the same for other kids. I recently discovered how much I adore greeting cards as well. I'm definitely planning on getting into those industries. I mainly work in digital but I recently picked up watercolors and gouache. I love drawing in the cartoon style with lots of animals and cute little kids or fantasy art. My big dream is to open up a cafe and have a gallery of my paintings and sell my picture books and greeting cards on the side. |

Im sure I can make millions of different color palettes with these little guys… but I think I’ll stick to this one. I actually really enjoyed this. It looks like a little boy’s color scheme but theyre cute stegos. I wish I could add more pink. but I should lay off pink once in a while… haha.

I struggled so much with the colors on this one… but I think I finally have something I like. :3

For our last greeting card project we had to design a magnet/placemat that can be sold as a set.

changed the color palette. Feels weird not using my normal pastel palette. It’s so hard to get away from it. ;;

This was for my Type as Art class. We were allowed to do anything we wanted as long as there was an ampersand (&) in it.
I always wanted to do miniature house/room mock up things so this was a really great opportunity.
I strung pearls onto stretchy string and tied it to the ceiling and floor so the pearls would read the &. I made the room give a classy little girl’s room with pearls to give it a jewelry box feel as well. It has windows so you can peek in and see one & in the back.
I originally wanted to build a door so once you open it, you enter into someone else’s world. That’s someone else’s treasure they stored away. By opening the door, you experience a little girl’s innocence.
but unfortunately that statement got lost without the door (I ran out of time) but that’s why the windows help with that I think.
overall, i was pleased with the inside of the room only. the outside was rushed and looked so messy. But I learned a lot. These things require so much planning. But I had a lot of fun and I will definitely be working on more of these in the future.
Lovesaurus <3
little late.. haha

too bad i didnt get to finish this by today but here’s the sketch stage.
I honestly don’t enjoy this holiday… cause it’s over the top commercialized. but I do love getting an excuse to draw cards like these…. Maybe I should make a line of ‘i dont need a holiday to say i love you’ cards. lol.
For my greeting card class.
i took 2 different approaches for these cards.
more digital art~
the background looks terrible cause i rushed it >__> welp.
